“Genexodus” is a name I coined for a concept that James Childs and I have worked on regarding the philosophy we have about how a technology company should be formed and grown.

Genexodus = From Beginning to Exit™

Basically, it boils down to this… an entrepreneur should not BEGIN to create/build a company until they’ve done their market validation and determined their (most) likely EXIT. Too many companies are formed because their founders have created some really interesting/exciting technical solution. Far too often, the same founder hasn’t figured out who will PAY to use the product and who will BUY the company (and what needs to happen to reach the sale).
