Picture: “HOPE” decays in downtown Birmingham

6 April 2009

HOPE decays and is a bit more blurry than it used to be

A friend of mine came over for the IndyCars test session and wore a version of this poster on his shirt, but with Reagan and RIGHT.  He said it is not well received in Atlanta but he got lots of positive comments about it while here in Birmingham.  He didn’t head downtown, where I predict he wouldn’t have been as well received.  BUT, when I was heading to the Alabama Theatre to see my daughters perform in a dance competition I came across this poster somewhat defaced on 19th street just north of the McWane Science Center… so it makes me wonder:

Is HOPE decaying??

… as the unintentional blur in the photo seems to indicate, the picture isn’t clear right now.

The “HOPE” that racism will die is also fading. The type of people that take pictures of this fading poster and beat their chest with pride and “HOPE” that this President fails. The very image of this man defaced or crumbling seems to excite your like. That’s a shame

As Rush asks on a daily basis, “How’s that Hope and Change going for ya?”

So Eddie provides another comment that equates us to being racists, only because we hope that Obama’s socialist policies fail.

No one here is beating his chest with pride; on the contrary, we’re beating our heads against the wall because we don’t understand how Obama followers can be a bunch of lemmings following him into the abyss.

Forget political parties. Go back to reading THE constitution. Not the Republican constitution..THE US constitution. Then tell us WHERE it says that the Federal government can grant the right to FREE healthcare, or AFFORDABLE housing or Abortion. Show me and I’ll shut up.

But you can’t, and that’s why we continue to beat the drum. To wake you idiotic, rock star groupies up from your entitlement-induced comas

If you can remember any of your high school history, our country was founded SPECIFICALLY to fight the kind of oppression we are seeing here.

The top 20% of earners in this country pay 86% of all income taxes.

But wait, it gets worse. The bottom 40% PAY NO TAXES!

Sorry, I don’t support Representation without Taxation. When you pay your taxes, you’re allowed to vote. Period

BTW I’m the one guilty of wearing the Ronaldus Maximus shirt. Seeing that the One’s approval ratings have dropped a few more points this month, I’m feeling more confident every day about wearing the shirt.

This picture is NOTHING compared to the posters that are appearing in Los Angeles… where do we get ours??
