5th Year Accelerator Program seeks nominees

28 August 2008
Personal Commentary… I have been involved with James Childs in planning and staging this program for the past 4 years and can tell you, dear reader, unequivocably that this is the most intense and most rewarding program with which any high-potential entrepreneur can become involved.

This isn’t a tech-only crowd, but the program favors the tech industry.  If you know someone who is interested, don’t miss this opportunity!!  curtis

It is time again for the Birmingham Venture Club’s and TechBirmingham’s Entrepreneurs’ Accelerator Program sponsored by Bradley, Arant Rose & White LLP. This program is offered to high caliber entrepreneurs – as a result of their business acceleration – adding value to the Birmingham region’s economic vitality.

The 5th Annual Entrepreneurs’ Accelerator Program will continue to offer entrepreneurs access to:

  • Nationally-recognized leaders that have groomed dozens of entrepreneurial business leaders. Our program content is facilitated by experts who share practical, proven techniques.
  • Proven local business leaders who have committed their time and experience to mentor entrepreneurs with high growth business models.
  • Peer-to-peer networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs dealing with similar issues and comparable access to resources.

Graduates of the Accelerator program have increased their credibility and visibility among potential funders, service providers, customers and community stakeholders.

The deadline for applications is Noon on Friday, September 5th. Applicants that are selected for the program will be introduced at the next Club luncheon scheduled for Thursday, September 18 at The Harbert Center.

Please visit to find more information and apply online for entrepreneurs. Club membership is not required to be accepted in this program – in fact there’s a (unwritten?) rule that participants in the program get a free year of membership in the club.

We hope that you are as excited as we are about the fifth installment of the Accelerator program. If you have questions about the program, please contact James Childs.
